Dukeries Homes Ltd is extremely proud to announce that after winning the award for LABC Best Small Housing Development 2018 East Midlands Area for our Mulberry Gardens development, we have now won the LABC (Local Authority Building Control) LABC Best Small New Housing Development 2018 Grand Final Winner.
The project team was involved in the winning entry in the category for Best Small New Housing Development:
Mulberry Gardens in Berry Hill Mansfield
Built by Dukeries Homes Ltd and designed by Vertical Edge Design.
Local Authority: Mansfield District Council
Dukeries Homes Ltd – Managing Director Stephen Clarke said: “As a local Mansfield company investing in Mansfield, it is with great pride we receive the Best Small Housing Development award for our Mulberry Gardens project. This award is testament to the hard work and commitment of the Dukeries site team and the support and guidance of our partners, Mansfield District Council Building Control, with whom we are bringing forward quality developments recognised by the LABC.”
A panel of industry experts judged a shortlist of the highest quality projects from around England and Wales to reward the best in technical innovation, sustainability and design.
The project involved the development of 18 contemporary new dwellings in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire with stunning views over Berry Hill Park.
Each property has a well-proportioned garden to the front and rear, and the use of external finishes sets them apart from the masses, providing bespoke properties.
The architect, developer and local authority building control team worked together collaboratively ensuring consistently high standards and a really successful outcome.
LABC Chief Executive Paul Everall said: “Our Building Excellence Awards are an opportunity for the industry to celebrate good practice. Our winners demonstrate how positive working relationships with local council building control teams achieve high quality, sustainable buildings. The awards are unique because they recognise how this cooperation improves building standards and professionalism across the industry.”
The panel of expert judges said “Mulberry Gardens is a genuinely aspirational development which successfully uses innovative design to realise attractive homes with a modern feel. Its popularity in the surrounding community and with the purchasers is testimony to the quality achieved.”
The Grand Finals of the LABC Building Excellence Awards took place on Friday 9 November 2018 at the Westminster Park Plaza in London and was hosted by Dead Ringers star, comedian and impressionist Jon Culshaw.
